Well, we made a few miles today. Dale wanted to use the car to begin with so I toddled down the highway with the motor home and the empty car dolly behind all the way to Prince Albert. We have discovered that the empty car dolly doesn’t like to go faster than 70 km/hr behind the motor home. If the car is on it, no problem. Once I reached Prince Albert I waited for Dale and then we went into the City to the Tourist Information Centre.
We checked out the small little museum beside the Info Centre and found out that this building was all about the history of the penitentiary in Prince Albert. This contraption caught our eye. It is a “rack” used for whipping inmates that required discipline. Hard to think of that being used but it was.
We kept on the move today, travelling through Shellbrook, Canwood, Debden and ending up in Big River where Dale suggested that we play a round of golf before supper. Made for a late supper but an enjoyable evening outside. There was enough of a breeze that the mosquitoes weren’t too bad.
